Second Chance Thrift Store is run entirely off of donations from generous donors like you.

Want to donate?

We accept:

  • Clothing for all ages and sizes in very good condition

  • Household items such as dishes, bedding, small appliances, and toys in very good condition

We do not accept:

  • Furniture, office equipment

  • TVs, computers, monitors, large electronics

  • Mattresses

  • Car seats

  • Medical equipment, such as walkers

Where and when do you take donations?

You can drop off Clothing, Housewares, Toys at the Glen-Ed Pantry (125 Fifth Avenue - Edwardsville, IL 62025)

Monday, Wednesday - 3:00 - 5:30 PM
Thursday, Friday, Saturday - 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM

We will have self-serve drop-off arrangements available in early 2026 - check back for more information!

If you have large amounts to donate or need additional arrangements, please call us to arrange a drop off time. 618-656-7506.

Who receives these donations?

Clothing and houseware donations go to our thrift shop on the second floor of the pantry named Second Chance. Second Chance is open to the public as well as to our client families. Client families receive a gift card to shop there for free, and anyone can shop at our affordable prices. All proceeds help support programs at the pantry.
